 Choke & kill Manifold 


Choke &kill Manifold  is indispensable well control equipment for implementing the new process of balanced drilling.

On the basis of the structure type, it can be divided into lifting type and vertical type. It can also be divided into the manual type and automatic type based on the control way.

It is mainly composed of throttle valve, shutter valve, pressure gauge, four-channel, buffering tube and check valve.

Pressure scope: 21MPa~105 MPa

Working pressure:-29°C~+121°C(P.U)

Working media: petroleum, mud and drilling liquid (containing H2S)

 

 

Choke manifold is necessary technical equipment for controlling kicks successfully and controlling pressures of oil and gas wells during well drilling. To use this equipment and implement pressure balance drilling process may prevent oil layer pollution, increase the speed of drilling and effectively control blowout accident.

Throttling manifold functions:

Well killing is operated through throttle valve, to replace contaminated mud in wells, simultaneously control wellhead casing pressure and riser pressure, so that mud liquid column plays a role in controlling pressure at the bottom to stop overflow.

uWellhead pressure is reduced through throttle valve for soft closing.

uWellhead casing pressure is reduced through blowout valve to protect well-head blowout.

Kill manifold is indispensable well control unit for carrying out balanced drilling; during drilling process, when the mud is out of control in normal ways of drill pipe circulating downwards, this equipment can be connected directly to mud pump to deliver mud into wellhead pump, so as to control the pressure of oil and gas wells.


Kill manifold function:

When the well is shut off, and its pressure is raising, in order to ensure the safety of blowout preventer, mud in high proportion will be injected by kill manifold into the well to control well pressure.

When full-sealing ram seals the wellhead in full, strong clean water will be injected by kill manifold into the wellhead to prevent fire burning.

When the blowout has occurred, strong clean water will be injected by kill manifold into the wellhead to prevent fire burning.

When the blowout is on fire, extinguishing agent will be injected by kill manifold into the shaft to help fire-fighting.
